Wilsford Class – Year 3 – Mrs Woodley

Hello, I am Mrs Woodley, the class teacher in Year 3.

The class Teaching assistants are Mrs Fay and Mrs Smith. Our class topic this term is Weather, this term we will learn about climates around the world, extreme weathers and even make our own clouds in jam jars. Our Science topic is Forces and Magnets. We will learn about different forces, as well as experimenting with magnets and finding out some of their uses.

PE is on a Wednesday, and dance is on a Tuesday. Children need to have their PE kit in school on these days. When it is cold children will need to have a PE jumper to wear. Children shouldn’t wear their school jumper for PE – if it were wet they wouldn’t have anything dry to change into.

We will have lots of fun together this term, and learn lots of new things!

By the end of the year we will have tried these:

Make your own Stonehenge.

Make a cloud in a jam jar.

Learn the 4 x table.

Take swimming lessons.

Experiment with magnets.

Write the diary of a rain drop.
